SUV Slams Into Erial Heritage's

The Williamstown Erial Road convenience store will be closed until at least Tuesday morning.

A sport-utility vehicle slammed through the front of the Heritage's convenience store in Erial late Monday afternoon.

No one was injured in the accident.

The store will be closed until at least Tuesday morning as a result of the accident, employees said at the scene.

It was a black Mitsubishi SUV that crashed through the front of the store at 1701 Williamstown Erial Rd. The SUV took out the store's glass doors and its windows as it moved into the middle of the building.

The cause of the accident is not known at this time.

A woman was observed driving the glass-covered Mitsubishi away from the store at about 5:30 p.m.

Gloucester Township building inspector Jim Gallagher indicated there was no structural damage to the store.

Gloucester Township Police placed yellow warning tape across the gaping hole where the entrance to the store is normally located as Heritage's employees waited for a temporary wall to be installed.
