Edward M. Graham moved to Blackwood shortly before he was deployed with his Army National Guard unit last year.
He thought he was there to pick up his stepdaughter from school.
Within seconds of stepping inside the lobby at Highland Regional High School Thursday afternoon, Edward M. Graham knew his trip to the school was not about giving the Tartan junior a ride home.
Graham, a staff sergeant with the Army National Guard based at Edgewood Armory in Aberdeen, MD, returned from his second tour of duty in Iraq just about a week ago.
