The driver, 30-year-old Monte Brown, also of Williamstown, has been charged with driving while intoxicated, Grossman said Sunday afternoon. Additional charges may be filed against Brown.

Brown and front-seat passenger, Anita Saunders, 46, of Clayton, were taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Massoquoi was a rear-seat passenger. It is not known whether she was wearing a seat belt.

Brown was driving the car southbound in the right lane when he steered the car to its left. The vehicle crossed all lanes and left Route 42, before spinning clockwise back into traffic and across all southbound lanes to the right side of the highway, Grossman said.

The car's rear struck a mile-marker sign after the vehicle left the roadway for a second time. The car then crashed into two trees and overturned.

The fatal accident remains under investigation by troopers based at Bellmawr barracks, with assistance from the state police Fatal Accident Investigation Unit and Camden County Prosecutor's Office, Grossman said.
