Work at Erial Road and College Drive Delayed

Police announce work in the intersection at Erial Road and College Drive will not begin until Monday.

Roadwork at the intersection of Erial Road and College Drive, in Blackwood, is now scheduled to begin Monday morning, according to police.

It was announced on Monday that the roadwork, which is being completed in conjunction with an ongoing Camden County Municipal Utilities Authority sewer project, would begin late this week.

From a Gloucester Township Police Department traffic advisory issued Thursday afternoon:

Due to a delay, work will begin within the College Drive and Erial Road intersection on Monday, Dec. 17, 2012. Traffic lanes will be shifted to allow the work to occur. Officers will be on location directing traffic. Please plan accordingly for expected delays and seek an alternate route of travel.

Work will then continue on Erial Road between College Drive and Little Gloucester Road. Only residents of Rainbow Place and Sunset Drive will have access. All businesses in that area may be accessed from Little Gloucester Road or College Drive.

The marked detour route for this section of roadway is southbound Erial Road to Little Gloucester Road to College Dr to Erial Road. Northbound Erial Road detour is College Drive to Little Gloucester Road to Erial Road.    

No work will be done between Dec. 24 and Jan. 4.
