If you're headed into Philly for New Year's Eve or bound for the Mummers Parade on New Year's Day, you'll have a bit of an easier time getting into and out of the city via PATCO's High-Speed Line, which will run a special schedule overnight and into the first day of January.
Riders heading back from the city Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning can catch one of six trains running between midnight and 2 a.m., before the schedule switches to trains every 45 minutes.
The first train out of Philadelphia leaves 15th/16th and Locust at 12:05 a.m., followed by trains at 12:20, 12:35, 12:55, 1:20 and 2:05.
Coming back into the city on New Year's Day, trains will run every 20 minutes between 7 and 9 a.m., with trains every 15 minutes after that, giving you plenty of time for the Mummers, who step off at 10 a.m. from South Philadelphia.
