Patch/NJ Aid for Animals Pet of the Week: Robyn

Help Patch help New Jersey Aid for Animals find Robyn a home.

New Jersey Aid for Animals board member Kelly Matthews, a Gloucester Township resident, submitted the following to Patch:

Robyn didn't have it easy. Her teeth were filed down and she was kept locked in a basement. As if she didn't have a rough enough start, she also suffers from vision loss. Robyn has hereditary retinal degeneration. She will not get any worse in her lifetime, and will always see better in bright light. Robyn also has hip dysplasia. You wouldn't know it when you meet her though, because the first thing she does is lick your face and wag her tail.

While Robyn doesn't like other dogs or cats at all, she loves people very much. This perky girl comes running when called and will stay by your side content to have you rub her silky ears. Despite what people call "problems" or "issues," Robyn is really a happy girl. She doesn't seem to think there is anything wrong with her and hopes you will just love her.

Robyn is crate-trained and as long as she maintains her schedule she is housebroken as well. She is up to date on all shots and spayed, and can be transported to any approved adopter in the U.S., so please share her story far and wide!

Please give Robyn a chance to live the life she has been denied by going here and filling out the application. She will make a wonderful companion for someone willing to welcome this girl into their home.
