Jerome W. "Jerry" Langel Sr., a longtime resident of Gloucester Township, died on June 24, 2012, at the age of 80 years. Predeceased by his parents Sophie and George Langel. Dearly beloved husband of Roxanna (nee Wilson) for 55 years. Loving father of Jerome W. Langel, Jr. of Gloucester Twp., Gary N. Langel of Gloucester Twp., and Michael E. Langel of Baltimore, MD. Dear brother of Irvin P. Langel (Bernice) of Plains Twp., PA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Langel was a USAF Korean War Veteran, serving from 1952-1956. He was a 31 year employee of IBM in Philadelphia, and a 50 year faithful member of Chews United Methodist Church of Glendora, NJ.
Known as the neighborhood “Mr. Fix It,” Jerry was the guy you could count on when you needed him. Whether it be a home repair, car break down, or the support or advice you needed from a friend, Jerry was always there. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and neighbors.
Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday, July 7, 2012, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Chews United Methodist Church, 319 Black Horse Pike, Glendora, NJ, where his funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory would be appreciated to the Chews United Methodist Church. Condolences may be viewed/posted at Earle Funeral Home's website.
