He was an Army Combat Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, serving proudly and with distinction, receiving, among many honors, the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He was a member of VFW Post 6958, Marion, KS, where he served as an Honor Guard.
"Hemi Hot Rod Jack" was an enthusiastic classic car restorer, builder, and "Main Street Cruiser," with one foot in the present and the other always in the 50's.
He loved gardening, fishing, and "Good Old Rock and Roll".
His personality was effervescent; his cup always half-filled with the joy of life, so giving to others and so humbled to expect or want anything in return.
Jack would want it said that his mother blessed him with the moral and ethical standards that guided his life, which he in turn passed onto his daughters, and that his was a truly wonderful life.
