Obituary: Paul L. O'Connell

Paul L. O’Connell, of Blackwood, died July 3, 2012, at the age of 86 years. Beloved husband of Teresa (nee Ryan). Devoted father of Joan Craft (Gary), of Turnersville, John (Karen), of Vineland, Teresa Locicero (Donald), of Williamstown, Rita Sweeten (Larry), of Blackwood, Leo O’Connell, of Audubon, Kathleen Maurice (Paul), of Lindenwold, and the late Paul O’Connell, Jr.  Grandfather of 12, great grandfather of 10. Predeceased by his brother Gerald O’Connell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. O’Connell was a Signalman in the U.S. Navy. He was a Graduate of Collingdale High School, and of St. Joseph’s University. He was a Life Member of the Merchantville Fishing Club. He was a long time Sales Representative of Amsterdam Advertising and later worked for Adirondack Ad Specialties. Paul’s favorite pastimes were surf fishing on LBI, and spending time with his family.

Mr. O'Connell's Funeral Mass was held Tuesday, July 10, at Our Lady of Hope Parish/St. Jude’s Church, 402 S. Black Horse Pike, Blackwood, NJ. Interment took place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA.
