And applause broke out in the news room

In the press coverage of Norcross losing his control over the Philadelphia Inquirer was a telling quote: "Applause broke out as the result reached the Inquirer newsroom, just before 11 a.m".

Why would a group of veteran reporters react in this manner to their paper being sold again?  Could it be because of the rumored fear and intimidation that swept over the paper once the Norcrats were in charge?

The same tactics allegedly reported by many current and former public figures who had jobs threatened if they didn't vote a certain way or hire a certain friend of the Mayor or the party chair?
