SPEAK OUT: Repeal Common Core in Gloucester Township!

NO! to Common Core!
NO! to Common Core!
Oklahoma repealed Common Core.

It's time for all you parents in GT, if you have any concern about the education your child is receiving, to stand up and tell the GTBOE to just say "NO!" to Common Core!

I wonder how many of those Governors have any children or Grandchildren in Public schools who are actually experiencing what that math is like. I also wonder if those who voted for Common Core understand it and can do it themselves. Or are they all like the Gloucester Township Board of Education . Just voting on things they don't know anything about, can't answer any question about and not researching anything for themselves. So don't tell me things voted in are done so by educated people who know what they are saying yes too ,because I have seen first hand, here in our own Town that simply is NOT true. And Mr.Romagnoli ,do you have Grandchildren in our Schools using that Common Core presently ? Just wondering what your hands on knowledge about it actually is ?

Once again the sheeple like Mr. Ramalamadingdong use hyperbole and talking points they heard on MSNBC. Fact is Mr. Ramalamadingdong, states were bullied into signing on to Common Core by the federal department of education through what was called Race to the Top, sort if a lottery of federal dollars given to states that jumped through enough hoops. The problem is the money never materialized and states and local school districts were saddled with unfunded mandates or huge financial liability to comply with a very bureaucratic and expensive curriculum. If Mr. Ramalamadingdong bothered to research CC just a little, he would know that at least 17 states are abandoning CC and that NJ democrats have an assembly bill that was voted out of committee that would put NJ on track to abandon this as well. He would also have seen that our neighbor Washington Township's BOE has voted to suspend CC until the legislature votes. Facts, facts and more facts only confuse and confound the close minded and agenda driven.

This is easy - Are our schools better since the Common Core was instituted? Worse than the common core in our schools is the block scheduling. Just terrible.

Mr, ALL-CAPS JOE cannot be blamed, he's just reading from the talking points that his hero, Shovel-Ready Dave, provided him. It's obvious that JOE lacks understanding in this area, I mean, goodness sakes, he still has trouble operating a computer keyboard and does not realize that his ALL-CAPS mode is a turn-off rather than an attraction to readers. So, JOE, what makes more sense, local parents and teachers deciding what's best for their children or the governor? You of all people suggesting that what a governor decides should stand when you are such a hater of our governor. No hypocrisy there, JOE.
