Team Mayer Takes Aim at Job Growth

Just got the new Team Mayer mailing, and I have a few questions about some of the content. First, it says "In 2014, Gloucester Premium Outlets, the newly approved retail outlet center will open along the Route 42/College Drive Interchange and the Black Horse Pike." So, is it opening in 2014 as this mailing says, or 2015 as was said by the Mayor at a community meeting? Second, "More businesses opened in 2012 than in 2011 ..." But how many businesses left in 2012? Was there a net gain or loss of businesses in the Township? Third, "... and the trend will continue with the opening of the Gloucester Premium Outlets center next year and the revitalization of downtown Blackwood and the Blackwood-Clementon Road Corridor." Leaving aside the again stated opening year of the Outlets, other than the nine year old Redevelopment Plan for Blackwood West and the leasing of Academy Hall to MainStage, what redevelopment is in the pipeline for downtown Blackwood? And other than the OTB at the old Stone Grill, what businesses are opening on B-C Road? Fourth, the quote at the top of the interior of the mailing says "OUR GOAL is to create good-paying jobs for our community while promoting economic growth." Now, the developer of the Outlets says that once the center is built, 800 new, full-and part-time job positions will be created to serve the many shoppers there. Does Team Mayor consider retail jobs that pay minimum wage, or slightly above, to be good-paying jobs? (Simon also says that 200-250 full time construction jobs will be generated, too. But, while I'm sure these jobs will be "good-paying," they will also be transitory and gone once the Outlets are completed.) Just some questions I would like answers to.
