We're Having an Election You Know?!

In previous years, since we have had The Patch, I have seen extensive coverage of the candidates and elections. Last year we had profiles and Q & A with all of the candidates. Not to mention, plenty of articles pertaining to the political landscape of the town around election time. This year? Zip! Nada! I question whether some residents even realize that we are having a very important election in just 48 hours. Why is this? Is this because we already know all of the incumbents...and who needs to know the folks challenging them for their positions since, hell, they're not going to win anyway....??? I seriously am not understanding why we've heard NOTHInG about a major election occurring IN this Twp on Tuesday. Instead we are hearing about a guy who stabbed another guy in a town 20 inputs away. Yeah, that's news I get it. But that's news I could have gotten anywhere. This is supposed to be hyper-local news. Well, there's a major hyper- local news story going on in town right now with these elections and no one from Patch is covering it. What a huge fail. Fail. Fail. Fail.
