Gloucester Township police nab a Camden man after his face shows up on iCloud photos from a lost phone.

A 26-year-old Camden man was charged Thursday for the theft of a lost iPhone after he was identified in Gloucester Township police social media posts.

Gary Hudson, of the unit block of Broadway, was charged and released pending a court date.

On Wednesday, a man who lost the phone, discovered his iCloud account was syncing new photos and contacts from his lost iPhone to his new iPhone. A man and a woman appeared in several of the photos, as well as two children.

The victim tried to reach the couple with a newly synced email account on the phone, but they did not respond. He reported the incident to police this week and photos of the couple taken with the lost phone were posted on township police social media pages. Authorities are seeking tips to identify the man and woman.

The victim, who was only described as a Washington Township resident, believes he left his phone on top of his car on his commute to work in Gloucester Township on May 3. He thinks it fell off somewhere on Cross Keys Road.
