Atco Man Captured in Gloucester Township, Charged in Lindenwold Shooting

Anthony Adams is charged in connection with an attempted murder at Arborwood Apartments in April.

Gloucester Township Police apprehended an Atco man who is being charged in connection with the attempted murder of a Lindenwold man in the township on Sunday, Camden County Prosecutor Warren W. Faulk, Lindenwold Police Chief Thomas Brennan and Gloucester Township Police Chief Harry Earle announced.

Anthony Adams, 28, is being charged with Attempted Murder, Aggravated Assault and weapons offenses. He was taken into custody by Gloucester Township Police at a friend’s home in Gloucester Township.

Adams is accused of beating and shooting a 34-year-old at the Arborwood Apartments at 6:57 p.m. on April 20.

The victim was sitting in a car when shot. After being injured got out of the vehicle and collapsed in the apartment courtyard. He is recovering from his injuries at Cooper Hospital.

Adams is being held on $1 million bail at the Camden County Jail.
