Berlin-Cross Keys Rd. Detours in Place for a Month

issued the following press release regarding upcoming work along Berlin-Cross Keys Road:

Beginning Monday, July 30 at 7:30 a.m., Berlin-Cross Keys Road will be closed so that improvements and repairs can be made to an existing CCMUA sewer line. This closure will be between Turnerville Road and Erial-New Brooklyn Road. 

The closure will last until Friday, Aug. 31, at approximately 4 p.m. Berlin-Cross Keys Road will be impassable between the closure points during this time. Access will be limited to residents, businesses and the vocational school located in that area.

The roadway will be opened on the weekends from Friday at 4 p.m. to Monday at 7:30 a.m. each week during the construction period. 

The marked detour route for northbound Berlin Cross Keys Road is Erial-New Brooklyn Road to Erial Clementon Road to Hickstown Turnerville Road to Berlin-Cross Keys Road. The route for southbound Berlin-Cross Keys Road is Hickstown Turnersville Road to Erial Clementon Road to Erial New Brooklyn Road to Berlin-Cross Keys Road.

Please plan accordingly for expected delays. Notice will be given if the roadway is opened earlier than anticipated. 

This closure is part of a long term construction project that will impact traffic throughout certain areas of Gloucester Township for the next several months.
