Bike Stolen from Front of Police Headquarters

Clementon man caught after surveillance video released on social media.

A 25-year-old Clementon man was arrested and charged this week with stealing an unattended bicycle from in front of the Gloucester Township police headquarters on Chews Landing Road.

Pradell Hedgepath, of the unit block of Lincoln Drive, was caught Wednesday after police posted surveillance photos of him on social media. The bike was stolen on Tuesday.

Hedgepath even responded to the call himself by sending an email to police indicating he wanted to return the bike, police said. But when Hedgepath stopped responding to email, police arrested him at his home in Clementon and recovered the bike.

He was charged with a criminal summons and released.
