Blackwood Neighbor's Tip Leads to Burglary Arrest

Gloucester Township police charge a Blackwood man with burglary.

An alert resident's tip Wednesday led to the arrest of a township man charged with burglary in the 100 block of Grand Ave. in the Blackwood section of Gloucester Township.

After the neighbor's tip, police surrounded the home he had allegedly burglarized and waited for him to come out. Shawn Kennedy, 28, of Blackwood, was charged with burglary and possession of drug paraphernalia after officers saw him exiting a rear window at the home.

Police said Kennedy had also allegedly tried to burglarize the detached garage of the residence and a neighbor's vehicle.

He was held at Camden County Jail on $50,000 bail.
