Body Recovered From Delaware River

The body was discovered 75 feet north of the Golden Point Marina in Tinicum Township, Pa. just after 11 a.m.

The body of a 23-year-year-old man who jumped into the Delaware River near the Golden Point Marina at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday has been recovered, according to Action News 6abc-TV.

The victim has been identified as 23-year-old Robert Miller of Glen Mills, Pa.

The body was discovered 75 feet north of the Golden Point Marina in Tinicum Township, Pa. just after 11 a.m., according to Action News.

The man’s girlfriend reported the incident to the Delaware County Police Department, who alerted the Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay that the man jumped into the river, went under a dock and did not resurface. She said he was wearing jeans, a black t-shirt and work boots, according to the Coast Guard.

A 25-foot Response Boat — Small crew from Coast Guard Station Philadelphia and local police, fire and dive team members searched for the man.
