Camden Man Charged in Monday Morning Murder of Clementon Man

Isaac Bruce was charged in the shooting death of Marvin McClinton.

A Camden man has been arrested in connection with a shooting that killed a Clementon man Monday morning, Camden County Prosecutor Warren W. Faulk announced Tuesday afternoon.

Isaac Bruce, 24, of Camden, was charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of Marvin McClinton, of Clementon.

An investigation determined that Bruce arrived a home on the 1800 block of Sixth Street in Camden after 1:30 a.m. Monday morning with a shotgun. Bruce’s possession of the weapon didn’t alarm those in the home because he always carried it, according to investigators.

However, he stands accused of shooting McClinton in the face on the second story of the Camden home around 4:30 a.m. As a result of being shot, McClinton allegedly fell down the steps. He was dead at the foot of the steps by the time police arrived.

Detectives say Bruce then pointed his gun at another person in the home and shot twice. The person was standing on the first floor, and although the shots tore holes in the person’s sweatshirt, the person was not injured.
