Darrell Crone of Camden Sought in Killing of Marine in Sunday Bar Fight

The 31-year-old man, who resides in the 1200 block of Park Boulevard, is considered armed and dangerous.

A 31-year-old Camden man has been formally charged with the murder of Timothy Loper, Jr., of Pine Hill, an Afghan war veteran who gave his life stateside on Sunday morning as he was shot attempting to break up a bar fight in the city.

Darrell Crone of the 1200 block of Park Boulevard in Camden is wanted by the Camden County Prosecutor's Office in connection with the incident, and is reportedly considered armed and dangerous.

"It is alleged that Crone was involved in an altercation outside 20 Horse Tavern at the intersection of 2nd and Spruce streets in Camden about 2:45 a.m. Sunday," the prosecutor's office announced in a statement today.

Loper, Jr. is survived by his wife and 6-year-old daughter. His father remembered him to ABC News as "a hero" and "my best friend."
