Dunkin' Donuts Employee Accused of Threat to Kill During In-Store Tirade

The Sicklerville man allegedly pulled a knife on his boss following a discussion about his work performance.

Police say an employee at the on Cross Keys Road threatened to kill his boss with a knife during a tirade inside the Sicklerville, Gloucester Township, store over the weekend.

The 21-year-old man was taken into custody on a nearby business property shortly after the incident was reported, Gloucester Township Police said.

Police were dispatched to the Dunkin' Donuts at 583 Berlin-Cross Keys Rd. at 10:37 a.m. Sunday on a report of an employee threatening his co-workers with a knife, according to Lt. Jason Gittens.

The store manager told police that an employee, whom he identified as Manjit R. Singh, pulled out a knife, threatened to kill him and knocked over containers holding condiments and donuts following a conversation about Singh's work performance.

Singh reportedly fled the store after the manager indicated he was going to call police.

With the assistance of a Winslow Township Police Department officer, police located the suspect in the parking lot to Classic Auto Wash, which is located across the street from the Dunkin' Donuts at 586 Berlin-Cross Keys Rd., in Winslow.

Police recovered the knife Singh allegedly wielded during the incident in a plastic bag outside the entrance to the Walgreens drugstore located at 590 Berlin-Cross Keys Rd., also in Winslow, according to Gittens. Witnesses told police Singh had entered the drugstore after he left Dunkin' Donuts.

Singh, of Windemere Drive in Winslow's Sicklerville section, was charged with terroristic threats, criminal mischief and weapons offenses. He was lodged in Camden County Jail on $50,000 bail.
