An Elk township man killed a woman housesitting in his mother’s home last month, and was arrested Saturday night, Camden County Prosecutor Warren W. Faulk and Gloucester Township Police Chief Harry Earle announced Sunday.

Timothy Donnelly, 46, shot Washington Township resident Kathleen Korbel, 54, who was housesitting at the Mayflower Drive home on Sept. 20, Faulk said.

The shooting came as Donnelly was robbing Korbel of prescription medication, Faulk said.

Donnelly has been charged with murder, felony murder and robbery.

Though his mother owns the home, Faulk said she was not involved in Donnelly’s alleged crimes.
