Erial Man Busted for Child Porn

The Department of Homeland Security put Wayne Drawdy in their child-porn crimes crosshairs.

A Gloucester Township man who may have babysat local children was arrested on child pornography charges, authorities announced Tuesday.

Wayne Drawdy, 31, of Prospect Avenue in the township’s Erial section, was arrested June 21, but it wasn't announced until June 26 by the Camden County Prosecutor's Office, Gloucester Township Police and the Department of Homeland Security.

The Department of Homeland Security Investigations’ Cyber Crimes Center, which monitors child pornography distribution on the Internet, identified Drawdy as a suspect. An investigation reportedly revealed several hundred sexual videos and images of children on Drawdy’s computer.

Drawdy is charged with possession of child pornography and possession with intent to distribute child pornography. Bail was set at $75,000 and Drawdy was being held at Camden County Correctional Facility as of Tuesday afternoon.

Investigators are concerned because they believe Drawdy babysat children in the area. Anyone with information or suspicion that Drawdy had inappropriate contact with children should notify Camden County Prosecutor’s Office investigator Rich Nicolella at 856-225-8436 or Det. James Schriver 856-228-4500.

Authorities also announced another, unrelated child pornography arrest Tuesday.

Joseph Marioni, 47, of the 400 block of Bell Road in Mount Ephraim, was jailed on charges of distribution and possession of child pornography, the prosecutor’s office, Mount Ephraim Police and Runnemede Police announced.

The FBI’s Task Force on Cyber Crimes targeted Marioni for allegedly downloading and sharing child porn. A search of Marioni’s home computer reveal several images of child pornography, the report said.

Marioni was held on $50,000 bail.
