UPDATE: Family of 8 Displaced by 2-Alarm Fire in Blenheim, Gloucester Township

One of the victims was taken to the hospital by ambulance with a minor injury.

A fast-moving, two-alarm fire ripped through a home in the 200 block of Cedar Ave. on Friday afternoon, displacing two adults and six children, and sending one victim to the hospital with a minor injury, Gloucester Township police said.

The front porch of the residence was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived at 3:01 p.m., Fortunately, the residents were already out of the house, officials said. 

The fire quickly spread to both lower and upper levels of the home. A second alarm was struck as first-responders arrived. Multiple fire departments included Chews Landing, Blenheim, Blackwood, Runnemede, Hi Nella and Deptford arrived to battle the blaze.

Gloucester Township EMS, Gloucester Township OEM, Camden County OEM, Gloucester Township Fire Marshal, Camden County Prosecutor's Office Fire Marshal and the American Red Cross also responded to assist the family. 

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
