Camden County Woman Killed in Icy, Head-On Bus Crash

A 29-year-old Lindenwold woman was killed, police said.

A 29-year-old Lindenwold woman was killed Friday morning after an SUV she was driving apparently spun on icy roads and slammed head-on into a NJ Transit bus, a statement from the Camden County Prosecutor's office said.

It occurred on West Branch Road shortly after 8 a.m. Ice on the road appears to have prevented the bus from stopping in time to avoid the collision, the statement said.

The victim's name was not immediately released. The 25 passengers on the bus and the bus driver, were treated at Kennedy Hospital in Stratford for minor injuries. A passenger in the SUV is being treated at Cooper University Hospital in Camden.
