Fire Damages East Church Street Businesses
A fire breaks out in a hair salon Monday night.
A fire caused damage to three businesses on East Church Street, in Blackwood, Monday night.
Gloucester Township Police and area fire departments received a report of smoke coming from one of the storefronts at 408 E. Church St. at about 8 p.m.
Arriving police officers found heavy smoke coming from Changez Hair Salon before firefighters arrived to discover a fire in the hair salon's rear office.

Firefighters from Blackwood, Chews Landing, Glendora, Pine Hill, Deptford and Aububon teamed to quickly extinguish the blaze, according to police.
No one was injured in the fire, which has been ruled unsuspicious at this time in the investigation.

In addition to fire damage to Changez, neighboring businesses Nails 4 U and Santini Pizzeria sustained smoke damage, police said.
Church Street was closed between State Street and Indiana Avenue for about an hour and half as the fire was extinguished and investigated.
