Fire Destroys Blackwood Commercial Building Monday Night

It took firefighters more than an hour to put out the fire on Old Black Horse Pike.

Fire ravaged a commercial building on the Old Black Horse Pike late Monday night.

Firefighters were dispatched to the blaze at 10:52 p.m. The fire was declared under control at 11:56 p.m.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Camden County Fire Marshal's Office and the Chews Landing Fire Department Marshal's Office, police said Tuesday morning.

No one was injured in the fire.

The commercial building at 1201 Old Black Horse Pike, near the former Wawa at the point of Old Black Horse Pike and Black Horse Pike, housed two businesses—H&H Performance, an automotive business, and Wiked Designs, a sign company.

Firefighters from Blackwood, Chews Landing, Glendora, Runnemede, Lindenwold and Hi-Nella responded to battle the blaze. Gloucester Township Police and EMS units assisted at the scene.
