Four Hospitalized In Two Gloucester Twp. Crashes; Driver Faces DWI, Assault Charges

From Gloucester Township police:

Officers responded to two separate early morning crashes that resulted in four people being transported to the hospital for minor injuries and one driver being charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Aggravated Assault by Auto. 

The first crash on Kearsley Road was reported at 0512 hours. Officers found a vehicle that traveled  off the roadway, overturned and struck a landscaping wall. The driver, Javonna Custis (21 Y/O) of  the 1100 block of American Road in Camden NJ, was transported to JFK Hospital Stratford for  minor injuries and was later released. This crash remains under investigation. 

The second crash occurred at 0538 hours on Erial Road at the intersection of Blackwood-Clementon  Road. Officers arrived to find that four vehicles were involved in the collision. The investigation  revealed that one of the drivers, Craig Giangrante (Age: 26) of the 1600 block of Ritner Street  Philadelphia PA, failed to stop and collided with three vehicles that were stopped for the traffic light. Two passengers in one of the vehicles were transported to JFK Hospital Stratford for minor injuries and released. The other drivers were not injured. Mr. Giangrante was transported to JFK Hospital Stratford for minor injuries and released. He was then transported to the Gloucester Township Police Department where he was charged with Driving While Intoxicated. He was additionally charged with Aggravated Assault by Auto and released pending a future court date after posting $5,000.00 bail. 

Arrest: Craig Giangrante 26 YO  1600 Block of Ritner St. Philadelphia PA 

Charges: Driving While Intoxicated and Aggravated Assault by Auto 3rd Degree.

Bail: $5,000.00 10%.
