Fugitive From Pine Hill Arrested on Warrants in Lindenwold

Brandon Bagwell was to be sentenced for weapons possession in April but failed to appear.

A Pine Hill man who failed to appear for his sentencing in Superior Court in Woodbury in April was arrested on a bench warrant in Lindenwold on Sunday, the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office announced on Monday.

Brandon Bagwell, 23, was to be sentenced on weapons offenses on April 25, but failed to appear.

He pleaded guilty on Dec. 17, 2013 to a second-degree charge of possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, agreeing to a sentence of five years in state prison.

He was arrested during a motor vehicle stop on Aug. 31, 2013 in Washington Township.

A loaded 25 caliber handgun was found in the trunk, which Bagwell acknowledged was his.  He was prohibited from owning a weapon because of a prior narcotics conviction.

He was apprehended without incident by the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Fugitive Investigations Unit as he left a friend’s home in the Pines Apartments.

The U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force, the Lindenwold Police Department, the Camden County Sheriff’s Office and the Clementon Police Department assisted in the arrest.
