Gloucester Township Man Who Lost Part of His Leg in 2012 Crash Wins $1.5 Million Settlement

A Blackwood man was suing Hollywood Cafe, saying they continued to serve him alcohol after he was visibly intoxicated, according to nj.com.

A Gloucester Township man who lost part of his leg in a 2012 crash won a $1.5 million settlement from Hollywood Cafe, nj.com reports.

Kevin Fynes, of the Blackwood section of the township, said in his lawsuit the cafe continued to serve him alcohol well after he was visibly intoxicated, according to the report.

After leaving the bar that night, he crashed his truck into a guardrail, losing part of his leg in the process.

Agreed.....ridiculous and and he is an ass! I don't think much of the jury that awarded him the settlement either. Being reward for his own irresponsible actions......smh

Just another example of rewarding people for their own bad behavior. That's the biggest problem with our society. There is no accountability. If something goes wrong it's always someone else's fault. Alcohol may have impaired his judgment when he drove home from the bar but alcohol probably didn't play a role in his decision to go to the bar.

Hope the money barely covers his lawyer bills and drunk driving arrest if he even was charged !

I agree we spill hot coffee on ourselves and drink and drive and we win millions for something we did wrong. The courts are nuts for rewarding bad behavior.
