Gloucester Township Police Advise Residents to Sign Up for Notification System Following Phone Failure Tuesday Night

The Gloucester Township Police Department advises residents to sign up for its Community Notification System after the department experience an issue with its phone system Tuesday night.

The telephone system at the police department was down for about 30 minutes Tuesday night. The police department made the public aware via its Community Notification System. Over 10,000 residents were made aware of the situation via Nixle.com.

"Please take this time and encourage your friends, families and neighbors to sign up to our notification system," police department officials advised Wednesday morning. "It is still free and only takes a minute. You never know when an emergency will strike and you need to be prepared."
