Gloucester Township Police Department Adds Five Graduates to Force

The department now totals 121 officers.

The Gloucester Township Police Department now has 121 officers following Tuesday’s Camden County College Police Academy graduation.

Five officers graduated from the 63rd Basic Police Recruit Class from the Camden County College Police Academy on June 3. 

They included Officer Erica Rios, Officer Matthew Gray, Officer Joseph Thomson, Officer Sylvester Hall and Officer Charles Ohrenich

They were among over 90 graduates, 70 of which will join the Camden County Police Force.

121 officers? Wow. Seems like a ton. So 121 Officers. Say they do 5- 8 hour shifts a week. That is 600 shifts total to cover 21- 8 hour periods in a week. 28 Officers per shift. Reduce that by say 4 for time off etc. Estimated 24 officers a shift - really? Is that correct? Is that really necessary in this township?

You forgot officers to protect the GTBOE members from people who see through their bullsh*t and Dave's personal bodyguards.

SJ are your facts correct? I heard they work 12 hour shifts.
