Gloucester Township Police Participate in New Jersey Special Olympics Torch Run

A total of 17 officers ran the four-mile stretch of the White Horse Pike between Berlin and Lindenwold on Friday.

A total of 17 members of the Gloucester Township Police Department participated in the Torch Run for the Special Olympics New Jersey on Friday.

The run is a statewide campaign coordinated and managed by all law enforcement officials throughout the state, according to njtorchrun.org. The first run took place in 1984.

On Friday, officers from the Gloucester Township Police Department ran a four-mile stretch of the White Horse Pike that extends from Berlin to Lindenwold, according to the department.
