Gloucester Twp. to Host 2012 NJ Police K-9 Competition

The competition will be held at three locations in the township the weekend of May 5-6.

The United States Police Canine Association Region 15 PD1 Field Trials PD1 Certification/Competition for police K-9s will be held on Saturday, May 5, and Sunday, May 6, in Gloucester Township. These trials judge the K-9 teams' skills in the following areas: obedience, agility, search work and criminal apprehension.

All of these events are open to the public as K-9 teams from across New Jersey will be displaying their skills in search of their PD1 certification. T-shirts and other vendors will be on site.

May 5:
- Timber Creek High School, 501 Jarvis Rd., Sicklerville, NJ 08081 @ 8:00am: the events of agility, obedience and suspect search will take place.
- Lakeland Airplane Field @ 8:00am (the very end of Collier Drive in the Lakeland Complex off of Woodbury Turnersville Road): the articles search event will he held.

May 6:
- Timber Creek High School @ 8:00am: the events of criminal apprehension will take place.
- Camden County College's Soccer Fields, Ring Road off of Peter Cheeseman Road, Blackwood, NJ 08012 @ 8:00am: the event of apprehension under gunfire will be held.

All events are open to spectators. Please do not bring your house pets to these events.
