GTPD Adds Another Social Media Connection

Gloucester Township Police Department announces it's now on Pinterest.

In an effort to better connect with the community, Gloucester Township Police Department has added Pinterest to its social media programs.

Pinterest is a pinboard-style, photo-sharing website that allows users to create and manage theme-based collections, such as events or interests.

The GTPD Pinterest account opens with four "boards," including GTPD Community Relations, GTPD events, GTPD CrimeStoppers videos, and GTPD press releases.

The Police Department has had great success with sharing information with the community with its Connect Notification System and on Facebook, Google+, Twitter, and YouTube in recent years.

"With the addition of the GTPD Pinterest account, we hope to reach more of our community partners with the information that helps make Gloucester Township a great place to live, work, and play," the Police Department's press release announcing the Pinterest account reads.
