GTPD Following Up on Leads in Stolen Debit Card Case

Three suspects use a stolen debit card to pay for an order at the Wawa store at Chews Landing and Somerdale roads.

Gloucester Township Police are following up on several tips received after posting to YouTube on Monday surveillance video from the Wawa store at Chews Landing and Somerdale roads that captured three suspects using a stolen debit card in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.

The crime occurred on Tuesday, Oct. 30, at approximately 9:35 a.m.

According to police, two male suspects and a female suspect used the debit card, which was in a wallet that had been stolen from a car parked in the Village of Chews Landing development hours earlier, to pay for an order at the Wawa.

Police described one male suspect as white and in his late teens or early 20s. He was wearing a striped, gray, hooded sweatshirt, gray shorts, and black sneakers.

The second male suspect is described as black and in his late teens or early 20s. He was wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt with "Paul VI Football 2011" printed on the front, blue jeans, and black sneakers.

Police described the female suspect as white and in her late teens or early 20s. She was wearing a white winter coat with a "furry" hood, black shorts, and flip flops.

After the three suspects purchased various items, including cigarettes, they left the area in an unknown direction.
