GTPD Searching for Shoe Dept. Shoplifting Suspects

Two suspects were caught on surveillance video stealing various items from the Shoe Dept. on Jan. 5.

Gloucester Township Police need help in identifying two suspects who were spotted shoplifting on surveillance video at the Shoe Dept. in Blackwood.

On Jan. 5 at approximately 2 p.m., a man, woman and child entered the store. The man appeared to try to distract the cashier as the pair walked down an aisle. The woman proceeded to take and conceal five watches. The female then took a purse and placed two pairs of shoes inside. The male also handed a basketball to the child and walked out with a pair of Nike socks.

Police describe the male as a black man in his thirties. He stands about 6 feet tall with shoulder length braids or dreadlocks. He was wearing a knit cap, a dark zip up jacket and blue jeans.

The female is described as a heavy black woman in her thirties. She is approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall and was wearing a tan jacket with black pants.

The child is described as a black female, about 4 to 6 years old. She was wearing a pink or purple jacket with a multi-colored knit hat.
