GTPD: Man Charged with Exposing Genitals, Pleasuring Self in Public

Gloucester Township Police issued the following press release regarding an incident on Oak Avenue, in the township's Hilltop section, Thursday afternoon:

On 7/19/12 at approximately 2:18 pm officers from the Gloucester Township Police Department (GTPD) responded to the area of Oak Avenue in the Hilltop section of Gloucester Township for a report of a man walking down the street after removing his shirt and pants. He then put his clothes on and began walking down Oak Avenue towards Lower Landing Road. Officers checked the area and found the suspect, later identified as 44-year-old John Boyle Jr.

Investigation by responding officers revealed that Boyle had exposed and masturbated in front of a mother and her 15-year-old daughter as they were entering a vehicle in this residential area. Additionally, there was also a young boy in the immediate vicinity that could observe the male.

Boyle was taken into custody and charged with fourth-degree lewdness. He was remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility in default of $2,500 bail. The accused, John Boyle Jr., resides on the 1600 block of the Black Horse Pike in Hilltop.
