GTPD Releases Video of Another Theft from ShopRite Property

It is the second theft from behind a Gloucester Township ShopRite in less than two weeks.

Gloucester Township Police on Tuesday released a video that shows two individuals stealing a commercial grade floor scraper and various parts, valued at approximately $8,000, from the rear of the Blackwood Clementon Road ShopRite in broad daylight.

The crime occurred at around 1:20 p.m. last Friday.

It marked the second theft from the rear of a Gloucester Township ShopRite supermarket in less than two weeks.

The Blackwood Clementon Road ShopRite's surveillance video shows a white, mid-1990s Dodge van traveling east on Blackwood Clementon Road, from the downtown Blackwood area, then making a right into ShopRite's main driveway and parking behind the supermarket. When the suspects leave, the van can be seen traveling west back toward the downtown Blackwood area.

Last week, police released video showing a man driving a white Ford pickup truck stealing a black, metal display case from behind the Chews Landing Road supermarket.

Police ask that anyone who has information about these crimes or can identify the suspects in the videos to contact the Gloucester Township Police Crime Stoppers anonymous crime tip line at 856-842-5560 or police dispatch at 856-228-4500, or send an email to police@gtpolice.com

I'm no detective, but I'm assuming these individuals knew the items would be back there so it's probably an employee of shoprite. Perhaps not leaving items of value unattended out side of the store might reduce theft? IDK? Maybe?
