Gunmen Tie Up Laurel Springs Woman in Home Invasion

Police are hunting for two suspects who subjected a Jefferson Drive woman to a terrifying ordeal Saturday night.

Two men tied up a Jefferson Drive woman at gunpoint in her home Saturday night, gagged her and threatened to shoot her during an attempted robbery, police say.

A homeowner arrived at his house, off of Chews Landing Road in the township's Laurel Springs section, just before 10 p.m. to find his wife in a back bedroom bound with zip ties and with a pillowcase over her head.

The woman, who is not being identified, told police that she came home around 9 p.m. to find two men in a bedroom wearing ski masks and brandishing black handguns. After she told them the family didn’t have any jewelry or money, one of the gunmen threatened to shoot her. They tied her up, gagged her, put a pillowcase over her head and stole her wedding and engagement rings, police say. The two then fled the home.
