Lindenwold Man Charged in 7-Eleven Robbery

The suspect in last week's Glendora robbery was arrested in Philadelphia by members of a regional fugitive task force.

A Lindenwold man authorities say robbed the Glendora 7-Eleven convenience store last week is now behind bars following his early morning arrest in Philadelphia.

Gloucester Township Police Chief W. Harry Earle joined Camden County Prosecutor Warren W. Faulk and Laurel Springs Police Chief Michael Wolcott this afternoon in announcing the arrest of Bray Johnson, 40, of Arborwood Apartments, in Philadelphia this morning.

In addition to the April 4 knifepoint robbery of the 7-Eleven in Glendora, Johnson is accused of robbing an independent food market on the White Horse Pike in Laurel Springs on Saturday and the Wawa on Delsea Drive in Deptford on April 2, authorities said.

In each case, Johnson allegedly brought a package of candy or a bottle of water to the counter, then produced an 8- to 10-inch knife to threaten a store clerk and demand money.

Members of the U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Fugitive Task Force took Johnson into custody in Philadelphia's Kensington section at around 2:30 a.m. this morning.
