Lindenwold Man Charged with Drug, Weapon Offenses
Police say a traffic stop on Blackwood Clementon Road late Wednesday wielded a stolen 9 mm pistol and narcotics.
Police charged a Lindenwold man with a slew of drug and weapon offenses following a traffic stop on Blackwood Clementon Road late Wednesday night.
Police reportedly recovered a loaded 9mm handgun, marijuana and PCP, or "angel dust," from the suspect vehicle following a half-mile pursuit that began at 11:57 p.m.
Gloucester Township Police Ptl. Timothy Kohlmyer observed the suspect vehicle, a 2011 Ford Crown Victoria, being operated in a careless manner while he was working a crime-suppression detail in the area of Blackwood Clementon Road, police said.

The driver, later identified as 29-year-old David B. Williams, of Lindenwold's Colonial Pines apartment complex, ignored Kohlmyer's attempts to pull over the Ford, according to Lt. Edward Bryant, before finally coming to a stop at Blackwood Clementon Road and Cherrywood Drive.
Kohlmyer recovered a Smith & Wesson 9mm pistol that had been reported stolen in North Carolina on Dec. 5, Bryant said. The gun was loaded with hollow-point bullets, which are banned in New Jersey.

Police also allegedly recovered two jars of marijuana, suspected angel dust and $757 believed to be proceeds of illegal narcotics distribution from Williams' vehicle.
Williams was charged with single counts of second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, third-degree receiving stolen property, fourth-degree possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and fourth-degree possession of prohibited ammunition. He was also charged with two counts of third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
Williams was lodged in Camden County Jail on $50,000 bail.
In addition to the criminal charges, Williams faces a host of traffic tickets, police said, including driving with a suspended license, driving with narcotics in a motor vehicle, and failure to maintain lane of travel.
