Little League Parades to Close Area Roads

Several township roads will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic Saturday morning to allow for the safe passage of two Little League parades.

Saturday is Opening Day for both Erial Little League and Glendora Little League.

Erial's parade begins at 8 a.m. at . It will proceed south on Erial Road to Williamstown Road, then move to the .

During the Erial parade, police will shut down Erial Road between Hickstown and Garwood roads. Williamstown Road will be closed between Erial and Jarvis roads.

Glendora's parade begins at 10 a.m.

It will begin at the Glendora fire hall on Eighth Avenue, then move north on the Black Horse Pike and east on Evesham Road. The parade will end at the Glendora Little League complex on Randy Road.

The Black Horse Pike and Evesham Road will be temporarily closed along the parade route. Also, parking will not be permitted on the Black Horse Pike between Station Avenue and Evesham Road nor on Evesham Road between the Black Horse Pike and Albert Avenue, police said.

Police advise motorists to expect heavy pedestrian traffic and delays. They are asking motorists to plan alternate routes and follow the marked detour route if traveling near either parade.
