Man Accused of Stealing Wallet, Woman Accused of Stealing Gas, Both Caught

Gloucester Township police turn to social media again to solve two reported thefts.

Social media tips have paid off again for the Gloucester Township police.

Two people wanted for two separate reported thefts at township convenience stores have been identified, and one man was put behind bars.

Kenneth Reeve, 47, from Janvier Road in Williamstown, was charged with theft of lost or misplaced property after a surveillance video allegedly showed him putting a wallet in his jacket after it was left on the counter of a Wawa convenience store in the 800 block of the Black Horse Pike on Sunday. Reeves was arrested Wednesday and held at the Camden County jail on a $500 bail for the alleged theft and an outstanding warrant in another matter.

In the other reported theft, a woman returned to a Wawa on Sickerville Road and settled a $71 bill for gasoline she has allegedly not paid for, police said. The incident, also on Sunday, was reported as a theft. Police said the incident remains under investigation.
