Man Charged in Early Morning Convenience Store Burglary in Glendora
Michael Christy Jr., 32, was charged with burglary, theft and criminal mischief in connection with the burglary of Pantry 1 Food Mart on the Black Horse Pike.
A Gloucester City man has been charged in connection with an early morning burglary at Pantry 1 Food Mart on the Black Horse Pike in Glendora.
Michael Christy Jr., 32, was charged with burglary, theft and criminal mischief, Gloucester Township Police announced Sunday morning.
Police responded to the convenience around 3:45 a.m. Sunday morning in response to a burglary alarm. They observed the two front glass doors had been smashed out and the alarm sounding.
Officers found that the cash register had been opened and immediately set up a perimeter around the area. They located a suspicious male at the corner of Front Street and the Black Horse Pike.
The investigating officers reviewed the security video and positively identified the suspicious male as the person responsible for committing the commercial burglary. The male was identified as Christy.
Christy was placed under arrest at the scene, and was then searched, when officers located numerous proceeds from the burglary.
He was remanded to the Camden County Jail in default of $25,000.00 bail.
