Man Accused of Selling Oxycodone Near Cherrywood Park

The 27-year-old man had more than 70 prescription pills on him when arrested, police said.

A 27-year-old Laurel Springs man was arrested last Friday and charged with distributing the prescription painkiller oxycodone in Gloucester Township.

Larry Sweeten, of the 1000 block of W. Atlantic Avenue, was arrested on March 28 during a vehicle stop near his home with the assistance of Laurel Springs police. He had more than 70 of the pills on him at the time and several thousand dollars in cash, police said.

Gloucester Township police have charged him with selling the prescription pills to one of their undercover officers in the area of Cherrywood Park during an investigation last fall.

He was taken to the Camden County jail and held on $25,000 full-cash bail.

Do you not think this happens in every town? Every town deals with this..GT just makes us more aware of whats going on. Would you rather not know about it? Good Job GT. Keep cleaning it up.

So Camden is a crime riddled ghetto, but I guess because Patch doesn't report on the people of Camden don't notice? Really??? Are you seriously saying it is okay that our town has been overrun recently with drugs and prostitution because it happens other placed? I agree they it is a good thing that the GTPD is cleaning it up, the real issue is that it exists in the first place. Giving a pass to the deterioration of the quality of life in GT because places like Camden are ghettos is absurd.
