Man Accused of Selling Oxycodone Near Cherrywood Park

The 27-year-old man had more than 70 prescription pills on him when arrested, police said.

A 27-year-old Laurel Springs man was arrested last Friday and charged with distributing the prescription painkiller oxycodone in Gloucester Township.

Larry Sweeten, of the 1000 block of W. Atlantic Avenue, was arrested on March 28 during a vehicle stop near his home with the assistance of Laurel Springs police. He had more than 70 of the pills on him at the time and several thousand dollars in cash, police said.

Gloucester Township police have charged him with selling the prescription pills to one of their undercover officers in the area of Cherrywood Park during an investigation last fall.

He was taken to the Camden County jail and held on $25,000 full-cash bail.
