Man Wanted for Pennsylvania Homicide Arrested in Gloucester Twp.

Police arrested a Philadelphia man wanted for murder in Johnstown, PA, early Tuesday.

A Philadelphia man wanted for allegedly gunning down another man outside a Cambria County, PA, housing project last year was arrested early Tuesday in Gloucester Township.

Gloucester Township Police Ptl. Benjamin Lewitt arrested Marquis "G" Neal, 30, on a murder warrant following a traffic stop on Blackwood Clementon Road shortly after 1:30 a.m.

Neal is accused of shooting and killing J-Quan Lewis outside of the Oakhurst Homes housing project in Johnstown, PA, on Oct. 1.

Neal's cousin and co-defendant in the homicide, 29-year-old Anthony Harvey, was arrested in Chester, PA, in November. Harvey allegedly drove the getaway car after Lewis was shot to death.

Neal and Harvey both are charged with first-degree murder and related offenses in connection with Lewis' death.

Lewitt learned Neal's identity through investigation after the Philadelphia man allegedly failed to provide the officer with identification and gave him a false name, according to township police.

In addition to the homicide-related charges from Pennsylvania, Neal was charged with third-degree hindering apprehension and fugitive-from-justice charges in Gloucester Township, and served a traffic warrant from Voorhees and a child support warrant from Gloucester County.

Neal was lodged in Camden County Jail, where he will remain until extradited to Cambria County, PA.
