New Police Recruits to Be Sworn In Monday

Eight new Gloucester Township officers will join the ranks.

Eight new officers are joining the ranks of the Gloucester Township police next week.

Two of the officers have experience working as sworn officers in other towns and six are new police academy graduates.

Timothy Lontz transferred from the Camden City police , Matthew Trotter previously worked for the Wildwood City police.

Gary Lewitt, Blaine McGovern, Michael Przeworski, Anthony DiNatale, Vincent Apicella, and Ptl. Joseph O'Drain recently graduated from the 60th basic class of the Camden County College Police Academy.

All of the officers will be sworn in at a township council meeting Monday.

Patrolman Brian Mazzarella will also be promoted sergeant at the ceremony.
