Off-Duty Gloucester Township Cop Accidentally Shoots Himself

The officer sustained a minor hand wound.

An off-duty Gloucester Township police officer accidentally shot himself early Sunday morning in his home in the unit block of Bromley Drive, a township police report said.

The officer, whose name was not released, was handling a personal weapon when it discharged and caused a minor wound to his hand, the report said. The incident occurred at 2:57 a.m. No other injuries were reported.

He was taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, treated and released. Police are continuing to investigate the incident.

It's bad enough that our incompetent Chief allows cops to get shot in the police administration building, now they're shooting themselves. At 3 am in the morning, what do you bet alcohol was involved?

Lets hope a Federal Investigation Is underway with the practices of this police department and township officials.
